ChannelApe is looking for developers to help us integrate our REST API with warehouse partners. We integrate with warehouses using our REST API and whatever file format (XML, CSV, X12) and transport (AS2, SFTP, Custom API) the warehouse software can support.

EDI and ecommerce knowledge is preferred but not required. You will be given access to a Bitbucket repo with CI/CD already taken care of. CD will deploy to a Node.js 10.x function which is your only deliverable. This function will be passed order, inventory, and fulfillment files by our core platform in a format agreed upon by the warehouse which you will need to then transform, apply business logic to, and add to ChannelApe via the REST API.

We use Behavior Driven Development to bring our integrations from scoped projects to working implementations in production. More specifically we use a modified version of Example Mapping suited for remote work. You will be assigned numerous Asana tasks and for each task we expect you to join a video call where we will discuss rules, scenarios, and questions for each story. Once scenarios for that story are agreed upon we expect you to automate them using Cucumber so strong unit testing experience is required. Your code will be reviewed and user tested by a member of our team before being accepted.
